7×7 cable consists of 7 individual wires that are laid in a spiral around a center or king wire to form a strand. These strands are then twisted together to form a cable. Each wire is hot-dipped in galvanized steel and the finished cable is covered in a PVC coating for even better corrosion resistance. The cable measures 1/4 in with the PVC coating and 3/16 in when stripped. Typical applications include use as garage door cables, for tie-downs, in dog runs, for hanging signs, and as guy wires for antennas and flagpoles. Do not use for overhead lifting. Never exceed the Safe Working Load of 740 lb. This cable is sold by the foot, in-store only. An associate in any Home Depot Store can assist with cutting this rope to your desired length.
