Catch Preston Hardware at Ottawa Woodworking Show

Date Posted: Tuesday, November 03, 2009

The Ottawa Woodworking Show is Nov. 27-29, 2009.
Preston Hardware will be out in full force at the 21st Annual Ottawa Woodworking Show at Lansdowne Park November 27-29, showing off some great new products and answering all your questions. Woodworkers shouldn’t miss this unique event, where they can get once-a-year deals on tools and receive some hands-on experience with new equipment.

“We’ve been involved in the Woodworking Show since the beginning—all 21 years. It gives us an opportunity to connect with woodworking enthusiasts and show off the latest tools,” said Joey Frangione, Assistant Manager at Preston Hardware. “Clients can get great deals on tools and actually see how they work prior to the Holiday season.”

The Woodworking Show will feature many useful exhibits and demonstrations related to carving, exotic woods, fine woodcrafts and the art of woodturning. Visitors can also expect to learn more about routers, bandsaws and other tools of the trade. Woodworking experts will be holding seminars all day to help you improve your technique. If you’re a woodworking enthusiast, it’s the only place to be this November!

Numerous vendors, including Bosch, DeWalt and Steel City, will be showing off their latest and best-selling products, giving you the inside scoop on 2010’s hottest hand and power tools.

Other vendors, such as SawStop, Dimar, Delta, Porter Cable, Dremel, Makita and Bessey will also be showing off their wares at outstanding prices.

“Sawstop is an innovative product we’ve been displaying since Toolfest in the summer,” Joey added. “Its built-in safety device is an amazing feature.”

Editor of Canadian Woodworking and Home Improvement Magazine Vic Tesolin will be on hand for all three days, giving expert advice to Ottawa’s woodworkers.

Ottawa’s best craftspeople will also be in attendance presenting their favourite Holiday gift ideas. It’s never too early to start thinking about the Holiday season, and the Woodworking Show is a great time to pick up some unique gifts for everyone on your list.

The Woodworking Show will wrap up with the Outaouais Wood Carvers award presentation, highlighting the Ottawa region’s most recognized craftspeople.

Admission is only $10.00 for adults, and free for children until the age of 12.

See you at the show!
