Make Your Own Wine! Preston Hardware Shows You How!

Date Posted: Tuesday, September 08, 2009

It’s a great time to be a wine-lover in Ottawa.

Preston Hardware is hosting three seminars this fall to introduce you to the art of making your own delicious red or white wine.

As part of La Vendemmia—Preston Street’s annual wine and food festival—on Sept. 19, Preston Hardware’s own in-house wine-making expert, Mac MacDonald, will guide you through the art of white wine making and tasting. On Sept. 26, he’ll do the same, with a focus on red wine. In order to ensure you’re getting the most out of your grapes, on Oct. 3, Mac will give tips on how to make different varieties and blends of wine.

The cost of the seminars is $35 per session. As a thank-you for coming in to the store and learning about wine-making, all attendees will receive a $15 voucher to use on supplies for their first vintage. It’s a great way to put your new skills to use.

Also, throughout the month of September, all our Grape Must and Blended Wine Making products are 10% off in our e-store.

You won’t get a better opportunity to learn about this flavourful and rewarding past time.
