The store offers two wine pressing machines where enthusiasts can make their own wine from the over 30,000 cases of grapes the store imports each wine season beginning in September. 2007 marks the 11th year of La Vendemmia – Ottawa’s celebration of Italian wine and food held in the heart of Little Italy, Preston Street. This year features a special cooking demonstration from that ambassador of Italian cuisine, Pasquale Vari; a tutored wine tasting adventure with Italian wine expert and Sommelier, Antonio Mauriello; the “Italian Roots in Local Soil”, a special dinner hosted by Angelo and Leonardo of Italian Food Entertainment Experience; and you’re invited to submit a team for the Charity Grape Stomp in support of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
